At SnapChef, we do our best to match employees with available shifts, but submitting your name does not guarantee placement. Here are some common reasons why you may not have been accepted:
- Transporation – Having the ability to travel to and from your shift on your own.
- Client Request or Preference – Some clients request specific workers based on experience, past performance, or site familiarity.
- Experience & Skill Match – Certain shifts require specific experience or skills that other candidates may have met more closely.
- Attendance & Reliability History – If you have a history of tardiness, call-outs, or no-shows, this may affect your selection for shifts.
- Shift Availability Filled Quickly – Many shifts are first-come, first-served, and may have already been filled by the time your request was reviewed.
- Policy Compliance – Not confirming shifts, failing to check in on time, or previous policy violations can impact future shift placements.
- Inconsistent Availability for Multi-Day Gigs – If you are submitting your name for only 2 days of a consistent 5-day assignment, you will not be chosen. Clients rely on consistency, so you must be available for all requested days.
What You Can Do:
- Continue submitting your name for shifts that match your skills and availability.
- Maintain strong attendance and performance to increase your chances of selection.
- Ensure you follow all SnapChef policies, including clocking in/out and confirming shifts on time.
- If you’re interested in a multi-day gig, be sure you can commit to all required days before submitting your name.
