TIPS Certification: How to Obtain Your TIPS Alcohol Certification

The TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification is required for roles involving alcohol service.  While Snapchef staff do not serve alcohol, some client locations require this certification for all team members on site.

 

Step 1: Access the Course
Visit www.gettips.com 

At the top of the page, click “Individuals”
Select the state where you will be working (this may be different than your home state—be sure to choose your typical work location, not your home state)

Click “Enroll Now”

Select TIPS On-Premise Alcohol Server Training

Add the course to your cart ($38) and proceed to checkout
Create your account during checkout (or log in if you already have one)

 

Step 2: Complete the Training
Once your purchase is complete, access your course through your dashboard
Complete all required training modules at your own pace

 

Step 3: Pass the Exam
At the end of the course, complete the final exam
A passing score is required to receive your certification

 

Step 4: Receive Your Certification
Once you pass, your TIPS certification will be issued immediately or shortly after completion
You may be able to download and print your certificate directly from your account

 

Step 5: Upload to Snapchef
Please upload your certification to the Snapchef app under medical documents.
