ServSafe: How to Obtain Your ServSafe Food Handler Certificate

The ServSafe Food Handler certification is required for many entry-level food service roles.
 
Before You Begin:
 
You must first create a ServSafe account.

Step 1: Access the Course
  • Log in to www.servsafe.com
  • Navigate to the Food Handler section
  • Click “Buy ServSafe Food Handler Products”
  • Select your state
  • Choose Online Course & Assessment
  • Complete checkout or enter your code (if provided)
 
Step 2: Start the Course
  • Go to your Dashboard / My Courses
  • Click “Launch” to begin
 
Step 3: Complete the Training
  • Work through all course sections
  • Progress at your own pace
 
Step 4: Take the Exam
  • Begin the Assessment (Exam)
  • Submit your answers
 
Step 5: Download Your Certificate
  • Once you pass, your certificate is available immediately
  • Go to Certificates
  • Download or print your certificate
 
Next Step: Upload to Snapchef
Please upload your certificate to the Snapchef app under medical documents as soon as it is completed.
