Certification Requirements for Certain Assignments

This article explains the professional certifications that may be required to work at specific Snapchef client locations.
Important: These certifications are not required to work for Snapchef overall. They are only required for certain client locations based on state regulations or client-specific standards. If you do not hold a required certification, you may still work other Snapchef assignments.
Why Are Certifications Required?
Some of the facilities we staff are required by state or local regulations, or by internal policy, to ensure food service staff hold specific food safety certifications. These certifications help maintain compliance and ensure safe food handling practices.
 
Commonly Required Certifications
Depending on the location, you may be asked to provide one or more of the following certifications:
  • RI Food Safety Manager Certification
    Typically valid for 5 years. Renewal is required before expiration to remain eligible for applicable assignments.
  • ServSafe – Allergen Awareness
    Typically valid for 3 years.
  • ServSafe – Food Handler
    Typically valid for 3 years.
  • ServSafe – Management
    Typically valid for 5 years.
Snapchef Operations will inform you if a specific assignment requires any of these certifications.
 
How to Submit Your Certifications:
 
Once you have your certification documentation, please send it directly to the Snapchef Operations team at operations@snapchef.com.
Our team will review your documents and notify you once they have been approved.

  • ServSafe Official Training & Certification
    Offers ServSafe Food Handler, Allergen Awareness, and Management certifications.

    Provides Food Safety Manager training and exams approved for Rhode Island.
