TB Testing Information
Some of Snapchef's healthcare and medical facility clients require employees to complete TB screening before working at their locations. Completing a TB test can help qualify you for additional assignments and increase the number of shifts available to you.
What is TB?Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease that most commonly affects the lungs. Many healthcare facilities require routine TB screening as part of their health and safety requirements.
What is a TB Test?A TB test is a routine health screening used to check for exposure to tuberculosis. It is a common employment requirement for many healthcare settings.
Is a TB Test a Vaccine? No. A TB test is not a vaccine or immunization. It is simply a screening used to determine whether you have been exposed to TB.
How Does the Test Work? The most common TB test involves a healthcare provider placing a small amount of testing solution under the skin of your forearm. You will then need to return to have the test checked approximately 48–72 hours later.
Some facilities may also accept a blood-based TB test. Requirements can vary by client.

How Long Is a TB Test Valid? Most clients accept a TB test completed within the last 12 months, although some locations may have different requirements.
